I’m having so much nerve pain relief after just a few treatments! Thank you Gina! Amazing!!
Besides just being an all-around rockstar of a human being, Gina's acupuncture treatments have greatly enhanced the quality of my life! I work in the field of evidence-based medicine and have learned about the amazing results with many conditions particularly pain, reproductive, and allergies. It is a shame that there is not funding for large scale studies so that the benefits of acupuncture can be shared and promoted more widely with greater credibility. Gina has treated and helped me with numerous conditions including back and neck pain, allergies, vocal polyps, uterine fibroids, anxiety, and tinnitus. In fact, after suffering for months with pulsatile tinnitus, a side effect of a severe upper respiratory infection, my ears popped immediately half-way through the first treatment and my symptoms resolved completely within a few weeks. For those that are new to acupuncture, it is important to understand that acupuncture treatments are dose dependent like most interventions. Therefore, you will likely need to make a commitment to weekly (or even twice weekly, depending on the condition) for 5 to 12 weeks to see long term results. Most of the evidence in the world medical literature support this concept along with my own personal experience. I strongly recommend Acupuncture of Columbia for its health outcome effectiveness, kind staff, and relaxing environment. You will not be disappointed.
Gina and her team are amazing. From the first visit they just make you feel so welcome. Love going. And Gina has helped with my knee pain and honestly I feel better overall. My stress is so much less now. Highly recommended!
I have dealt with significant chronic neuropathic pain for 30 years. I have been repeatedly to the Mayo clinic and all the Md's Columbia has to offer as well as tried most alternative remedies. I have held off on acupuncture looking for a top notch practitioner. Gina, and her staff, have gone above and beyond, exceeding my expectations. And yes I have seen some reasonable, welcomed, relief from the treatment. But the overall approach and honesty in communicating what may and may not be possible is what sets Gina apart. No false promises here. I would recommend anyone that has a "hard to treat" case explore what Gina and her practice has to offer.
Shingles and the nerve pain that can follow (PHN) - is there any real hope for improvement? Yes! Acupuncture works and there are medical studies that prove it. I came to Gina a month after being diagnosed with shingles. The pain meds from doctors had not lessened my pain at all and they came with unwanted side effects. I could not stand for anything to touch my skin where the pain was - not my clothes, not the bedding, not even a loose hair that had fallen out of my head. They all caused intense pain. When I first started treatments here, the pain was horrible. Now at the end of my treatments, I feel like 98% of my pain is gone (and all I did was lie on a soft, warm table and almost dose off!). If you’ve got PHN, you’ve got to come see Gina. Don’t wait because that can make your recovery take longer and be more expensive. Gina is genuine and remembers conversations she has with you and will ask about those things/people at your next visit. Gina is encouraging and always asking how you're doing so she can better decide how to treat you. Everyone here calls you by name, too. You'll quickly feel like you're among friends!
Gina is a very talented healer. Her acupuncture treatments are really helping with my chronic pain issues and my overall health. I'd tell anyone considering Acupuncture of Columbia, give them a call. You won't regret it.
I went to see Gina at Acupuncture of Columbia after coming from Florida. At that time, I had lower back pain that was difficult for me to walk. After the 3rd session of acupuncture, I improved where I could regain movement and able to do my morning walks. It was my first experience which I highly recommend this acupuncture center. Thanks to Gina and all the staff at Acupuncture of Columbia.
Gina is an AMAZING HEALER!!! I met her 2 years ago after a traumatic event that left me with PTSD. After not sleeping for months due to nightmares, severe anxiety, panic attacks, flashbacks and a nervous system that was stuck in fight or flight, I found relief that I desperately needed. I remember thinking I didn't even know if I could make the 45 minute drive to my first appointment because the images/flashbacks in my mind were so bad and they were constant. Gina listened with a kind open heart and assured me she could help. I felt like I was sharing with a real friend. In the first session, I could tell something was happening within me but I wasn't clear what it was. I was more relaxed for sure. Driving home I was shocked because it was a pleasant drive! The debilitating flashbacks were all but gone and that night I slept without nightmares for the first time! I cried many, many times before seeing Gina again because she had quite literally saved my life. I needed those things to STOP before I could do anything to help myself. I believe I did 10 sessions and herbs for a very reasonable price, especially when the treatment gets to the root of the problem rather than just treating some symptoms. Gina more than exceeded my expectations as a person and a healer. I will be forever grateful to her. I recently contacted Gina again for the ulna nerve problem I was having after having surgery 7 months ago on my elbow. The pain and weakness has continued to worsen. I have now had 3 sessions with Gina and it has improved tremendously. My last session reduced the pain even more than I thought possible. I'm very confident I am in the right place for the healing my body needs. I look forward to every visit. The office staff is always so kind, warm and greet me by name which I really appreciate. That alone says to me, "You are important to us."
What an amazing experience, I was on vacation and had a pinched nerve. After going to the doctors and getting medicine, icing, heating I felt frustrated with not feeling myself. I made an appointment for 10 treatments, after the second one my pinched nerve was so much better. Gina (who is lovely) treated my other ailments as well, I have horrible arthritis and such bad knees. After a few treatments I felt so much better and enjoyed going on my scheduled visits, the staff is so friendly and warm. I would highly recommend going to get your aches and pains resolved.
More than six years ago, I could not walk without a cane and my pain was excruciating. My massage therapist recommended acupuncture. Although I continue to keep my cane available, I have not used it for more than six years. Need I say more? Thank goodness for Gina and her expert services!
The staff are always happy and smiling and Gina is a ray of sunshine, you can’t help but be a good mood around her. Gina has helped me immensely with my arm and shoulder pain, as well as, my allergies.
Have you ever been to a place where you walk in and immediately feel your body begin to relax? The staff greets you by name, and the smell of the incense in the diffuser makes you smile. When you go back to one of the rooms, the relaxation continues. Heated beds with soft pillows, a nice, soft blanket, an infrared lamp at your feet, and gentle music playing through a speaker. It's so tranquil. I admit I was nervous about acupuncture. Needles are kind of freaky and the idea of lying on a bed with several needles sticking out of me was nerve-wracking. But I'd learned of the benefits of acupuncture. Things like helping with fertility, chronic illness, pain, and anxiety. Plus, Gina is just such a kind-hearted person and her positive energy is contagious. And honestly, they don't hurt at all. It's like someone poking you with a fingernail. I've been going about once a week for the past 3 months and can't believe the difference. During my first embryo transfer (before I started acupuncture), my hormones were very low and I had to supplement 2 or 3 of them. Also my lining didn't get above 6mm (not ideal). So that transfer failed. A couple weeks ago I had my 2nd transfer. Not only had my hormones been in the ideal range, but my lining was at 10mm! My anxiety has been minimal, my chronic illness (POTS) has been less symptomatic, and I just feel so much better. I can be a bit of a skeptic but I'm thrilled with how well acupuncture has worked for me! While I now recommend acupuncture to nearly everyone, I especially recommend going to Gina. I can't imagine going anywhere else.
Gina is the best thing that has ever happened to me! I had struggled with chronic pain for years before I found her and she really listened to me and helped me be able to manage my pain. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone.
The team at Acupuncture of Columbia is a delight! They always greet you with a smile and the atmosphere is amazing. I can't recommend their services enough if you're having pain with no relief from other forms of treatment.
If you have chronic pain or a swelling problem and pain medication hasn't worked--this is the place to go. Gina is an expert at relieving pain and her staff is wonderful. Just as importantly, her treatments fixed my insomnia and relieved my anxiety symptoms. Acupuncture of Columbia has my highest recommendation!
I cannot recommend Gina and her staff enough!!! You are greeted by name and with a smile when you walk through the door each and every time. The treatments are private and relaxing in a comfy room. I learned I had nerve damage in my leg about 5 months after breaking my ankle, surgery to repair, physical therapy, etc. My healing had pretty much stalled out, I still could not feel a whole lot in my leg/foot, and I could not seem to break free from my prescription (which I hated taking) for nerve pain/twitches I was experiencing. A nerve test finally confirmed nerve damage, and all any of the doctors would tell me is that "nerves are slow" and there is nothing that can be done to help that. I was not accepting that as an answer. I read that accupuncture can help. Enter Gina!! A friend could not recommend Gina highly enough and I called to get in right away. Gina listened to everything that I had exprienced and asked me questions, too, to fully assess what was going on. Some of the things I read during my research on ways to help heal nerve damage are the exact same things that Gina suggest I try in addition to the acupucture (and to continue physical therapy, too). She explained how everything would work, and we set up a pretty intense treatment plan as I was closing in on the window of the nerve damage possibly becoming permanent. Not long after starting my treatments with Gina, I was able to completely stop the prescription medication the doctor had to prescribe for the nerve pain/twitches!! Her excitement when my foot finally started responding was more than my own, I think. She has always asked about my physical therapy visits, too, to see how things are progressing there and see how she could adjust my treatment to help. After a few visits with Gina, my physical healing picked up again and I started seeing some quick progress especially in the strength I had been lacking in my foot. I have finally "graduated" physical therapy after almost 6 months, and I am down to just one treatment left on my plan with Gina. No, Gina and her staff aren't kicking me out, but I do plan to take a little break and look forward to going back for maintenance care and then just for some general wellness visits after the first of the year especially after becoming a full-on integrative clinic! Oh, and, let me add that I drive 30 minutes just to see her over anyone else - so worth it!!
Gina is a true professional. She explained everything and makes each treatment as painless as possible. Her staff is also very friendly and helpful. I have an improved quality of life.
i highly, highly recommend acupuncture of columbia. i have suffered chronic neck pain for three years without long term relief from any therapy i had attempted (physical therapy, chiropractic work, varieties of exercise, medication, muscle relaxers, radiofrequency nerve ablation, and more) and honestly (though mistakenly) saw acupuncture of columbia as a last ditch effort. since beginning my treatment in september of 2022, i have seen an unbelievable improvement in my quality of life. (as a college student, it’s pretty difficult when simply going to class requires the majority of my pain-free hours.) i am now able to remain pain free for a full month between treatments, a milestone i truly never believed i would reach. gina and the rest of the staff are incredibly kind and truly make my mornings better on days when i come in. my treatment plan has been clearly communicated to me from the start. i feel very well-informed of my own health and progress, and feel cared for on the more difficult days. if you live in columbia and have been considering acupuncture, i enthusiastically and wholeheartedly recommend acupuncture of columbia.
Gina is wonderful. I had a muscle spasm that had not responded to massage, chiropractic, muscle relaxants or pain relievers prescribed at urgent care. I was at the end of my options when my primary care doctor recommended accupuncture. The entire experience at Acupuncture of Columbia is restorative. I highly recommend them!
I saw Gina for an issue with my ears having fluid and causing me great pain during flights and discomfort afterwards. Within a few acupuncture sessions and taking the herbs she customized for me, I felt significant improvement. I just returned home from a trip and had no ear pain or discomfort on the flight which was a huge relief for me. Everyone at the office is welcoming and cares about you as a patient. If you are looking for alternative healing methods, I highly recommend you try Columbia Integrative Health!
I had been in pain for two and a half months. I had been to doctors and a dentist with no relief. Gina took care of the pain in 10 visits! Gina, Marisa and Sam are the most caring! I highly recommend Acupuncture of Columbia!
Gina has created a very comfortable, relaxing atmosphere you won’t want to leave! The friendly staff go the distance to make you feel welcome and appreciated. The facility is very clean and organized, yet homey. Gina is an expert treating my neuropathy, easing my severe pain to tolerable. I recommend and trust her services to everyone.
Gina is the full package! Knowledgeable - compassionate- fun yet professional! I would recommend her highly to anyone dealing with pain of any sort!
Gina is FABULOUS! She is kind and compassionate. My acupuncture treatments with her have helped my chronic back pain stay under control. Words can’t express how thankful I am to have found her!!
I had a wonderful experience with Acupuncture of Columbia. I was in Columbia because a family member was having a medical procedure and started having severe pain in my hip/back/sciatica. They were able to get me in super fast and helped me so much. I super appreciated that they would see me knowing that I wouldn’t be a long term client due to actually living far away! Thank you, Gina! You are amazing! Everyone was so friendly and made me feel so welcome and comfortable!
Gina and her amazing team have helped me through pregnancies, chronic health issues, chronic pain, and hormone regulation… she cares so deeply for her clients and it shows! My acupuncture appointments are so relaxing and therapeutic! I would recommend them over and over again to everyone.
I recently completed 10 acupuncture sessions with Gina to treat plantar fasciitis. If you have ever had plantar fasciitis you know it can be very painful! I have a 98% relief in pain. This was my first experience with acupuncture and pleased I tried it. I would definitely have acupuncture again in the future. The staff members are all very nice adding to my positive experience. The office/patient areas are very relaxing and comfortable which also enhanced whole experience. Thank you Gina,
Love this place so much! Relaxing environment, friendly staff. It’s so convenient being able to see Gina Butler for acupuncture and then Dr. Butler right after, all in the same location. I’ve seen Gina for about 8 years, and acupuncture has helped keep my back and hip pain manageable, when it previously was affecting every aspect of my day and keeping me from normal activities. Additionally, Dr. Butler’s expertise and skill with osteopathic manipulation has been extremely helpful. Could not recommend the combination of these two modalities more. Thank you Gina, Dr. Butler, and team for all that you do!
I have cervical dystonia and receive a lot of treatments for pain management but Gina's acupuncture is by far my favorite and the only one I look forward to. Each session she tailors treatment on my current pain locations and it gets me through the weeks! Everyone there knows your name and really seems to care!
I've been a patient of Gina's for a long time and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She is attentive and really listens to what you say when you have your appointments. She is also a wizard with herbal tea blends. I've seen her for everything from aches and pains, to perimenopausal and post menopausal symptoms. She has helped me through so much. I'd highly recommend her to anyone trying to heal through a non western medicine approach.
